italyinpicture.com provides the following license types:
- Private License. Private License permits customers to utilise the pictures for non-commercial purposes, with the exclusion of editorial reproduction and publication on the web.
- Editorial License. Editorial License permits customers to utilise the pictures for printing on books, newspapers, magazines and printed material in general, including covers.
- Web License. Web License permits customers to utilise the pictures for web publication, multimedia projects, electronic presentations and previews.
Ownership of all the photographs in this website's archive belongs to italyinpicture.com. Italyinpicture.com owes the commercial license for the pictures mentioned above. Pictures are protected by the International copyright laws.
The purchase of any of the licenses above does not imply the ownership of exclusive rights on the image purchased.
Physical entity of all images created or supplied pursuant to this agreement remains the sole and exclusive property of italyinpicture.com.
Customers may not use the pictures for resale or other distribution.
Notice. Proper copyright notice, which reads: “© www.italyinpicture.com”, must be displayed in the publication or in the website credits.
For editorial purposes, please note:
- For newspapers and magazines the image is intended to appear on a single publication.
- For books, encyclopedias etc., the image can appear on reprints.
Usage specifications stated in this document applies to copyright license immediately after the image has been purchased.
All rights not specifically granted are reserved to Italy in Picture.
No grant of derivative rights is made with this License, including digital or electronic rights that may involve scanning, using, transmitting, or storing images on the Internet, World Wide Web, CDs, or other electronic medium or network, unless expressly authorized in writing.
Unless otherwise provided in writing from italyinpictures.com, customers may not make any alteration or manipulation of the purchased images save for a slight or reasonable image enhancement (i.e., alterations of contrast, brightness and color balance, or cropping) consistent with reproduction needs and that does not materially change the integrity of any Image.
Termination
Customer may cancel this agreement at any time by destroying any copy of the images in their possession (either digitally or materially).
Limitation of Liability
Italy in Picture will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential damages or any loss of revenue, profits or data arising in connection with this License Agreement , even if we have been advised of the possibility of such. Further, our aggregate liability arising with respect to this will not exceed the total price the customer paid for the purchased image package under this License Agreement.
Miscellaneous
This License Agreement is governed by the laws of Italy, without reference to rules governing choice of laws. Any action relating to this License Agreement must be brought in a court located in Rome, Italy, and the customer irrevocably consents to its jurisdiction. No customer may assign this License Agreement, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Subject to that restriction, this License Agreement will be binding on, inure to the benefit of, and remain enforceable against the parties and their respective successors and assigns. Our failure to enforce customer's strict performance of any provision of this License Agreement will not constitute a waiver of our right to subsequently enforce that provision, or any other provision of this Agreement.
The customer acknowledges that he has read this agreement and agrees to all its terms and conditions.

This website's photographic galleries do not contain any images of museum interiors and archeological sites whose shooting is explicitly prohibited by the Monuments and Fine Arts Office.
